How Cascade Spine & Injury Center and
Medical Integration Fit Together

We Prioritize your Patient’s Medical Welfare When They are Injured in a Car Accident

Car accidents can cause serious injuries such as soft tissue damage, musculoskeletal injuries, whiplash and back pain. The American Chiropractic Association reports up to 3 million Americans sustain back pain after an injury. If your patient sustains this type of pain after a car accident, then your patient could benefit immensely from Cascade Spine and Injury Centers’s chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture treatment.

Documentation of Treatment

Cascade Spine & Injury Center will document any medical care your patient receives to treat injuries sustained in an accident including:

·       Regular Progress Reports: We perform regular re-examinations periodically during care to ensure your patient is progressing appropriately, guide treatment choices, and be able to update the referring and ancillary providers on their progress in a concise and useful manner.

·       All treatment provided:  All records of treatment are kept per statutes and will indicate if your patient was treated for injuries sustained directly as a result of the accident or for an un-related condition.

·       Accurate billing information: Even more documentation is always helpful. This includes the bills accrued from treatment including dates of office visits and total sum of the cost of treatment. We regularly work with auto insurance companies, worker’s compensation claims, and health insurances to ensure timely billing and administration of bills and payments.

The Art of Listening

We as chiropractors at Cascade Spine & Injury Center do not just sit and talk and then write a prescription; we join with patients in their care through health communication. We actively participate with each patient in their treatment. We awaken our empathy the minute we introduce ourselves to each patient. This listening leads to action and the natural law of life, which is to be healthy. For a patient to be heard starts their healing process. When a patient sees that the chiropractor is attentively listening to what is being said through their health communication, the patient’s fears start to fade. The most ordinary and everyday patient consultation is an appeal for help. Can you feel what they feel? Do you know in your heart what pain and suffering feel like? Every piece of advice given by the chiropractor, in the patient’s eyes, is a means of restoring their chances of successful healing threatened by pain or other symptom. Healing, meaning a postive outcome for the patient, is relief of pain, diminished anxiety, less disability and a positive mental attitude. As concerned chiropractors we listen and validate the patient’s problems. We reveal the cause of the patient’s condition with the “hands on” palpation, nerve tracing and explanation of X-rays. The patient can relax knowing they were heard and understood. Mutual acceptance and validation calms and encourages the patient. They now know that their suffering is recognized and can be treated by Cascade Spine & Injury Center. Attentiveness nourishes the patient’s own desire in becoming well and engages them toward accepting their responsibility in the process of healing. Validation is a team effort. Positive regard for the patient is a core quality that fuels continued doctor-patient interaction at Cascade Spine & Injury Center. Confidence, personal involvement and genuine concern are the foundation of our clinic.

HIIT IT!

Are you looking for the right exercise routine for these sedentary times? Try a HIIT workout? With HIIT workouts, you get your heart pumping and your body moving in less than half the time of a traditional cardio workout with just as much benefit.

What is a HIIT Workout?
HIIT stands for High-Intensity Interval Training. HIITs are comprised of interval workouts done in short bursts with little to no downtime. These 20-30 minute workouts are designed to get your heart rate up and burn more fat in less time. HITT exercises include push-ups, situps, jump squats, and burpees, just to name a few.

The Benefits of HIIT Workouts
HIIT workouts result in excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), which speeds up your metabolic rate (increases metabolism). HIIT workouts also require no equipment. These workouts use your body weight to get your heart rate up and yield the fitness results you aim for through full-body exercise. Another reason why HIIT workouts are so popular is that you can do them just about anywhere; from your living room to your neighborhood park!
